Dear << Test First Name >>
We are writing to invite you to a General Meeting to establish Climate Friendly Bradford on Avon as an Unincorporated Association on Monday 19th March, 7.00 for 7.30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Quaker Meeting House, Bradford on Avon and will start promptly at 7.30 p.m.
Please note that this meeting is in place of the AGM (notice of which was sent out last week) as we realise that since this is a new organisation it is not correct procedure to call the meeting an AGM
There will be a formal meeting followed by refreshments and a showing of some short films on the general topic of climate change. As many readers of this message will know, CFB has for some years operated as a Community Interest Company. This has proved onerous for the people appointed as directors, and there is no longer any perceived benefit for achieving the objectives of CFB to be set up as a CIC. The CFB CIC is going through the formal and lengthy process of dissolution, and meanwhile the new, simpler, community group with a new committee needs to be set up and will be inaugurated on Monday 19th March.
The Draft Constitution for CFB will be approved at the meeting so please do take a look using the link below and print if necessary as we will not be providing paper copies at the meeting.
Constitution for Climate Friendly Bradford on Avon
The agenda is as follows:
1. Agree the draft constitution including an annual membership fee of £5.
2. Elect officers. Nominations are as follows:
Chair: Rachel Berger
Secretary: Amy Starr
Treasurer: Klaus Huber
Other nominations can be made to Amy Starr (please use email@example.com) before the meeting, or at the meeting, and would be welcome, since due to other commitments, Amy and Klaus will not be in post for a full year.
Membership forms will be available on Monday for people to join up and pay in cash or by cheque.
If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org before the meeting.
