Cake Not Climate Change

Making Scotland a leader in the movement against Climate Change is a piece of cake, with us. Two hours is all you'll need.

The Scottish government is writing a new Climate Bill to set goals & determine the near-future actions we'll take to keep Climate Change in check. They're also asking for your opinion. A public consultation is open until September 22nd to ensure ambitious, world-leading targets are set.

The full consultation can seem daunting. Let us assure you that you do not need to answer every question in order to submit a response. You can respond online or on paper. You can respond on your own or you can respond as a group.

Cake NOT Climate Change will provide space, cake (vegan & gf options), templates, envelopes, and good people to ease any doubts or answer any questions. Bring a laptop, tablet or pen & paper to Ostara Cafe on either August 31st or September 7th between 17:30 & 19:30, get some of the best cake into you & help steer Scotland toward a fossil free, climate friendly, world-leading future.

We'll be joined by Friends of the Earth Scotland Climate Campaigner on August 31st for an introduction to the consultation. If you're new to this consultation, this is a great way to learn more.

The consultation itself can be found here
